Saturday, June 25, 1:00pm – 2:30pm at Meditation Summer in Governors Island, NY
Our surrender and opening – into home, emptiness, Samadhi, is of course an ongoing process and practice. In this workshop, we bring an integral framework and the tools of Core Energetics to help reveal this presence by working with what frequently gets in the way: our emotional being.
Our reactive emotions of anger, shame, and “numbing out” tend to hide deeper feelings of fear and grief. It is only when we venture into work with these dark places that we can really uncover more of our unique, whole, integral, and higher self.
From that connection we bloom our most authentic self. From that connection, we bring our most effective and loving action in the world. From that connection we bring our deep love for ourselves and our world.
Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22 in Northampton, MA
Sponsored by Valley Integral and The Integral Guesthouse
Join Doshin Nelson Roshi (Hollow Bones Zen order) and a gathering of “seekers” and “finders” to explore the theory and practice of Integral Zen.
Integral Zen brings Zen mind together with Ken Wilber’s framework of Integral Theory, along with Carl Jung teachings of the persona and unconscious psyche. Integral Zen is a process and practice of awareness and understanding that teaches us – using Wilber’s terms – to “Wake Up, Grow Up, Clean Up and Show Up” toward a more integrated living of our daily life. At the heart of Integral Zen practice, is Mondo Zen.
Mondo Zen™ is Koan training for our twenty-first century world. The process is built on the recognition that a healthy mature ego is required to live a full life and to teach the Dharma. We practice transforming habitual, unconscious reactions into conscious, compassionate responses. The result is a healthier, more mature ego—one that can see through the delusion of a permanent self. We learn to see our emotions as information, informing awareness.
